Coleen Bins

Coleen Bins:
My artistic creations are a reflection of my Traditional Heritage. I am inspired by yesterday, today, and tomorrow. I teach so that I may play an important role in the lives of those who will carry on our old traditions and hopefully help to create new ones through the creation of Art. I am deeply thankful for all the Creations that make me who I am, Yaw^ko’ (thank you).

Hans Christian:
Gongs can be the conduit for musical medicine. Their vibrations can carry us into deep spaces of being that allow for meditation, lucidity, or whatever experience may come in that moment. I love exploring the spaces within and hope that you will join us on this creative journey.
Thank you.
Source & Spirit events in Sturgeon Bay
Hello friends,

Native American artist/wisdom teacher Coleen Bins and musician/music producer Hans Christian will offer three events in January and February titled ‘ Source & Spirit, a Journey to Creation and creativity’.

In these 90+ min long events Coleen (owner of Chief Oshkosh in Egg Harbor) will offer healing and wisdom from her Oneida tradition with a focus on the theme of Creation while Hans will take the audience on a sonic immersion on gongs and Tibetan bowls. Together these two artists intend to create a meditative, peaceful, and inspiring experience.

What is Source & Spirit about?
Hans Christian: "It occurred to me that during the introductions for my gong concerts I would refer to terminology like source, non-duality, and pre-individuality; in other words, states of mind that were free from time and space constraints. I was wondering what Native American wisdom traditions had to offer in this regard, especially when expressed by an artist. We are fortunate to have Coleen Bins in our community who will take us into the world of Creation and creativity from the perspective of her native Oneida wisdom tradition. Ceremony, personal reflections, and Native American teachings will pretext a concert on gongs that lead us to meditation and deep inner journeying. This is a perfect series of events during the winter months when we tend to go inward. I invite you to join us and experience Source & Spirit."

Saturdays, Jan. 19th, 26th, Feb. 2nd, 7pm
Length of event: 90-120 min
Cost: $20/$25 door (reservations recommended)
